Venus Blocks the Sun!

Remember the Solar Eclipse a week ago? Well if you have solar viewing glasses, have them ready. On June 5th Venus will come between Earth and the Sun, blocking out a very small portion of the sun's rays. This is a spectacular event that only happens four times every 243 years! The next time Venus will cross the sun will be in 2117.
Because Venus travels around the sun slower than the Moon travels around Earth, this event will last hours. Thanks to this, everyone around the world should be able to see at least part of the event. If your in the eastern hemisphere, you may have to wait until June 6th for the sun to come up.If weather permits, I'll be sure to take photos like I did of the solar eclipse.

Enjoy this rare event, and remember that there is so much more to life than you realize.
